First and foremost, our hearts are with all of the those living in supported housing and all of the dedicated Direct Support Professionals and other caregivers who continue to serve them. While most of our partners have closed or reduced staffing at their offices, FORWARD continues to work remotely, hold virtual meetings, and communicate with one another in an effort to keep the project moving ahead. At the site, our subcontractors have continued their work on a case-by-case basis, but so far all of them have continued working as the house enters the final month of construction. Interior painting is almost finished, exterior work continues, and kitchen, bathroom and heating/cooling fixtures are getting installed.
Although the project is still on time and on budget, we do anticipate potential delays as contractors may need to slow or cease work, disruptions to the supply chain occur, and other unanticipated events impact the project. At this point we are still projecting a final certificate of occupancy by June 1st, but check back here as things progress.
Above all, we urge all of our friends and colleagues to stay safe and support one another, and we look forward to better times ahead.
