We’re about to break ground on our latest project, eight one-bedroom apartments for independent living to accommodate developmentally disabled adults who need supportive services, health and safety supervision, and access to 24-hour emergency response, but do not require a congregate setting with around-the-clock staffing. This project will be built adjacent to two group homes we completed in 2020 for residents with profound disabilities. Those homes are staffed 24/7 by Cape Abilities and have been continuously fully occupied since opening.
FORWARD is a 501(c) 3 non-profit founded in 2014 by concerned relatives and friends of young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder to address their ongoing residential and community living needs, and to confront the critical shortage of affordable housing on Cape Cod.
